06.04.08. Dragonfly Rising Press is pleased to announce the first of the Organizers' Pamphlet Series, "What are you talking about? Why should I cut my dreads? What’s wrong with a Mohawk? Answers for White People on Appropriation, Hair and Anti-racist struggle" by Colin Kennedy Donovan and li'l ol' me.


06.02.08. I successfully defended my dissertation and can now be addressed by the lovely gender-neutral title, "Doctor." Hooray!


05.19.08. Two of my essays, one academic and one creative non-fiction, were recently published in two separate collections. The academic essay, "Theatre as Suture: Grassroots Performance, Decolonization and Healing" was published in Aboriginal Oral Traditions: Theory, Practice, Ethics edited by Renée Hulan and Renate Eigenbrod. The creative non-fiction essay, "Shaking Our Shells: Cherokee Two-Spirits Rebalancing the World" was published in Beyond Masculinity: Essays by Queer Men on Gender and Politics edited by Trevor Hoppe.


02.14.08. I'm ecstatic to announce that I've accepted a position as Assistant Professor of Rhetoric and Composition in the Department of English at Texas A&M University, and will be moving late this summer to Bryan-College Station to begin my life as an Aggie.


12.07.07. I'm very honored to announce that my co-student colleague at MSU, Staci Perryman-Clark, and I have both been awarded Scholars of the Dream fellowships from the Conference for College Composition and Communication (CCCC). Wa'do so much, Cs! See y'all in New Orleans!


11.26.07. Hooray! Colin Kennedy Donovan and I just finished editing Scars Tell Stories: A Queer and Trans (Dis)ability Zine. The zine prioritizes work by people of color/mixed-race people and trans folks, and is published by RESYST Seattle. You can order it here.
